NetProphet is operated by Jack Crawford ("we", "us", "our"). Our platform allows users to create and join prediction leagues for football tournaments.

2. What Data We Collect

Account Information

• Email address — used for account creation and login
• Display name — the name shown on leaderboards and to other league members
• Authentication provider details — if you sign in via Google, Apple, or Microsoft

Usage Data

• Predictions you make on matches
• Leagues you create or join
• Points and leaderboard positions
• Group pot contribution status (whether you have contributed to your league's group pot — managed between members directly)

Technical Data

• IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
• Device type and browser
• Pages visited and time spent on the platform
• Analytics data via Google Analytics 4

Payment Data

If you pay to upgrade a league, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment processing — see stripe.com/gb/privacy.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate your account and provide the NetProphet service
• To display your display name and predictions to other members of your leagues
• To calculate points and maintain leaderboards
• To send transactional emails — prediction reminders, match results, account notifications
• To improve the platform using anonymised analytics data
• To process payments for league upgrades
• To comply with our legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)

• Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the NetProphet service you've signed up for
• Legitimate interests — analytics and platform improvement, fraud prevention
• Consent — marketing communications (where applicable)
• Legal obligation — where required by law

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third parties where necessary to operate the service:

• Base44 / Wix — our app infrastructure and database provider
• Stripe — payment processing for league upgrades
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
• Resend — transactional email delivery

All third parties are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

6. Data Visibility Within the App

By joining a league, your display name and prediction results will be visible to other members of that league on the leaderboard. Your email address is never shown to other users.

If you join the global leaderboard, your display name and best score will be visible to all NetProphet users.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as payment records, which are retained for 7 years).

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that inaccurate data is corrected
• Deletion — request that your data is deleted ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email us at our in-app support. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Cookies

• Essential cookies — required for the app to function, including authentication session cookies
• Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 uses cookies to collect anonymised usage data. IP addresses are anonymised by default.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent the app from functioning correctly.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. Your data is stored on secure infrastructure provided by Base44/Wix. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

NetProphet is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us at our in-app support.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by displaying a notice within the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
